Default Is it more fun to quest with friends via party?

I don't even know if that's possible considering I've just started, I've got a level 7 Necro/Mes and I have trouble getting through the breach area.

I've always considered it though, seeing as I figured it could help, but I dunno.

Prophecies henchmen until you reach the Crystal Desert are terrible =)

Even if your friends are leveling/going through the game with you at lower levels, you'll have a much easier time. Bringing friends with max characters will of course make the areas into a joke.

You can also try PUGing, getting random players, for missions and some popular quests. These are occasionally really good, although you'll often wish you had brought henchmen. Playing with good friends or guildmates is almost always best though.

It will help quite a bit, I finally started working on my Monk recently, and I was apalled when my ranger, warr, and ele henchies just couldn't put together enough damage to kill warr bosses with healing signet.

I'd strongly recommend taking friends or other people when you can find them, although it wasn't until the third mission that I managed to find some people. The Ascalon areas are pretty deserted sadly.

There is always the friends vs henchman pros and cons.

As far as it being fun.. I'd say friends are more fun. You can talk while you play, and things all get done usually correctly if everyone knows what they are doing, all humans playing. Versus AI which just follows around, 1, 2, 3, C Space, etc and you cannot have convo with them so i'd say lol friends are "fun" to play with in game yes.

Default My order friends>heroes>hench

With regards to friends vs henchmen, friends tend to come out on top becuase:

1. they can be the same lvl as you or higher which hench wont be.

2. They are more fun, as you can chat to them.

3. Tactics, sometimes keeping hench out of trouble can be difficult. Also, if a hench has rez and all the party are dead, the hench will not run away, hide heal and return and rez like a palyer would, instead they fight until they die, which normally isnt long. Plus, the skills of each player are more customizable.

Also remember, most veteran players choose heros over even friends. The quickest and easiet ways to get some good heroes, is to buy EoTN (eye of the north) expansion. Then get some lvl 20s to help u out, and journey through from LA to EoTN, and you will get 3 heroes.

And as for the last question, certainly, whisp me in game and i'll be glad to help

Another plus for friends is that they can bring overpowered PvE skills, while any type of AI can't.

You are playing a multi-player game... Teaming up with others is more fun than playing solo (though some people don't agree with me). You can learn together or learn from more experienced players.
But for me there is a difference between friends and random players.
Meet randoms, play with them, have fun and if you like them try to become friends.
Friends are the players who you stick with, chat with and have fun with when looking for more than a single quest/mission. I even have people who are on my friendslist for over 3 years and even though I hardly play with them anymore we still have a chat once in a while. And because I've known them for so long I know what they are able to do in the game, so I can ask them to join for something difficult without doubt most of the time.

Playing with friends/guild can be entertaining to say the least.

As most guys like fun in chat while playing also. If you are alone at times yes you take hench/heros to go through a mission.

Things you may find as I do this a lot on other accounts say I am going for protector as an e.g you will see guys in early missions to do these .Often have taken guys along who are low levels to have some fun doing these ..most guys willl do this really

So use the open chat or search and enter what mission you are needing when your in that area you may find it surprising on responses

I find that hard to believe. Over pugs, certainly, but...

By the sound of it, the OP hasn't reached Lion's Arch yet, so that isn't really going to help...
